DESIGNING GIBSON GIRL DRESSES PATTERN
#110 (1900 - 1910) $9.95/$1.50 shipping

Quilt 67" x 79" showing 16 Dresses & 9 Hats
Gibson girls were elegant, active women in the early
1900's known for their upswept hair, huge hats and
voluptuous figure. Charles Dana Gibson was an
illustrator whose elegant, dignified Gibson Girl was
shown leading a more active life golfing, swimming,
boating and cycling. The S shaped corset forced the
bosom forward and the hips backwards giving a
voluptuous look. Drawstrings pulled tight on the
corset created a tiny waist. The fancy gowns and
hats were covered with lace, feathers and frou frou,
while the shirtwaists and suits were plain for the new
working girl. The hats during this period were the
largest they have ever been. Use your imagination
and have fun!!!!!!
